Speeding in Residential Areas: A Serious Risk

As a community, we are seeing an increase in drivers who are ignoring traffic laws. The risks from speeding are heightened in residential areas where cars come into contact with pedestrians, children, elderly people, bikers, pets, etc.

When you ignore speed limits, you’re not just breaking the law; you’re endangering your own life and the lives of your neighbors. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that speeding is a contributing factor in 29% of all traffic fatalities in the United States. In fact, for every 10 miles over the speed limit you drive, you double your chances of being involved in a car crash.
